Everything you need for your cookbook

Save recipes, adjust servings, search quickly, and keep everything in order. Cuvio offers practical tools for everyday cooking, without the extras.

Serving rescaling

Just change the number of servings and Cuvio recalculates the ingredient amounts automatically. The original recipe stays unchanged.

Categories with emoji

Build your own system of categories. Name each one and give it an emoji so you recognize your recipes at a glance.

Tags

Label recipes by cuisine, difficulty, type of dish, or dietary needs. Tags make filtering and searching easier.

Favorite recipes

Mark the recipes you cook most often as favorites. They stay together in their own tab, right at hand.

Search and filters

Find a recipe by name, ingredients, categories, or tags. Filter by category, tags, favorites, or prep time, and sort recipes by name, date, or time.

Photos on recipes

Add your own photo from your library or take one right in the app. Cuvio optimizes photos so your cookbook doesn’t take up more space than it needs to.

Sharing

Send a recipe as clear text in a message or an email. Or share it as a Cuvio file, photo, ingredients, and tags included.

Import from the web

Found a recipe online? Paste the link and Cuvio prepares the title, ingredients, instructions, and any available photo. Review the result and edit it before saving. The link to the original source stays with the recipe.

Recipe from a cookbook

Scan a printed cookbook page and Cuvio prepares the title, ingredients, and instructions for you to review. Text recognition happens directly on your device, so your photo is never uploaded, and the feature works offline. Requires iOS 26.

Cuvio AI

When standard recognition isn’t enough, you can ask a language model to read the recipe. It is a paid option billed in credits that never expire.

iCloud syncing PRO

With Cuvio Pro, your recipes are on every device signed in to the same Apple Account. No extra account, and nothing to move by hand.

PDF export and printing PRO

Print a recipe or save it as a PDF. Make your own printed cookbook, or simply share a recipe with family and friends. PDF export and printing are included with Cuvio Pro.

Cuvio Pro

One-time purchase. No subscription.

Cuvio Pro unlocks iCloud sync, PDF export and printing, and appearance options. It removes the limits of the free version and includes 10 Cuvio AI credits to try the feature.

The free version lets you save up to 20 recipes, create up to 5 categories, and use up to 5 tags.

Appearance options

Make Cuvio your own. Choose one of seven app colors, used throughout the app and in exported PDF recipes. Alternative app icons are available as well.

Cuvio AI

Cuvio AI for trickier recipes

Sometimes standard recognition isn’t enough – for example, when a cookbook page uses multiple columns or a website doesn’t mark up the recipe.

You can ask a language model to read the recipe, and Cuvio will prepare the title, ingredients, and instructions for you to review. You can also use it to check and organize a recipe you have already saved.

Cuvio AI uses credits that can be purchased in packs and never expire. Only text leaves your device – never photos, page URLs, or your notes. Without credits, everything else continues to work as before.

Designed for iPhone and iPad

A clean interface, clear typography, and both light and dark mode. On iPad you see the recipe list next to the open recipe; on iPhone you switch between the list and the recipe.

  • If you close the form with unsaved changes, Cuvio asks first before discarding them.
  • Set your default serving count once and every new recipe will start with it.

Privacy

Your recipes are yours

Your recipes are not stored on any Cuvio server. Your data stays on your device. With Cuvio Pro, recipes sync across devices signed in to the same Apple Account, and synced copies are stored in the private iCloud database of your Apple Account.

The one server Cuvio operates exists only for Cuvio AI, and the only thing kept on it is your credit balance. Text reaches that server only when you ask for it, and is discarded as soon as it has passed through.

Cuvio does not require an account of its own, and the app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics tools. It does not track you across apps and websites. Access to synced data is protected by the security of your Apple Account.

Private iCloud. Synced data is stored in the private iCloud database of your Apple Account.

No ads. No ads and no content unrelated to your recipes interrupt you while you cook.

Works offline too. You can browse and edit recipes without a connection. With Cuvio Pro, changes sync as soon as your device is back online.

Export any time. Export your whole cookbook to a Cuvio file whenever you need it.

Export and transfer

Your whole cookbook in one file

Export all your recipes, photos, categories, and tags to a single .cuvio file. Use it as an archive, to move to a new device, or to share with another Cuvio user.

Before importing, Cuvio shows you what will change. Recipes that already exist in the app are updated from the imported file. All other recipes stay unchanged.

The .cuvio format is documented JSON, so you can access your data outside the app, too.

You can edit your recipes on a computer, too

Upload an exported file to the builder, edit your recipes comfortably on a full-size keyboard, and download them again as a file for Cuvio. You can also start a new cookbook from scratch. The builder runs right in your browser – your data is never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account or a login?

No. Cuvio does not require an account of its own. Syncing in Cuvio Pro uses the Apple Account you are already signed in to on your device.

What’s included in Cuvio Pro?

Cuvio Pro includes iCloud sync, PDF export and printing, a choice of seven app colors, alternative app icons, removal of the free version’s limits, and 10 Cuvio AI credits to try the feature.

The free version lets you save up to 20 recipes, create up to 5 categories, and use up to 5 tags.

Do I have to use Cuvio AI?

No. Cuvio AI is a paid option you have to ask for yourself, and it is billed in credits. Without credits, everything else continues to work as before: recipes from photos are prepared directly on your device, and web import works as usual. Credits are purchased in packs and never expire.

Is Cuvio Pro a subscription?

No. Cuvio Pro is a one-time purchase.

How do I print a recipe?

Open a recipe and choose PDF export or Print from the more actions menu. Both features are included with Cuvio Pro.

How does syncing work, and how is my data protected?

Syncing is part of Cuvio Pro. Recipes are stored in the private iCloud database of your Apple Account and appear on devices signed in to the same account. Access is protected by the security of your Apple Account; the developer cannot access data stored in a user’s private iCloud database. Without Cuvio Pro, recipes stay on the device and you move them by export, which is always free.

What happens when I move to a new phone?

With syncing in Cuvio Pro, your recipes are restored from iCloud once you install the app and sign in to the same Apple Account. Without syncing you move them by exporting and then importing a .cuvio file.

Can I send a recipe to someone who doesn’t have the app?

Yes. Sharing as text produces a readable recipe for a message or an email. Sharing as a .cuvio file is meant for another Cuvio user, who imports the recipe with its photo.

Which languages and devices are supported?

Cuvio is available in English, Czech, and Slovak, on iPhone and iPad with iOS 18 or later. Language and appearance follow your system settings, or you can switch both inside the app.

Keep your cookbook close at hand

Recipes from your notes, your photos, cookbooks, and links from the web all end up in one clear place – ready for the next time you cook.
